Super Easy Butter Caramels

This is the easiest, yummiest treat I have made in quite awhile! Even dental discounts won't save you fom this one. It is a super soft, super rich caramel that imitates the popular Butter Caramels you see around Christmas time. They make a great treat to take to any Christmas function.

5 lbs. Peter's Caramel (Do Not Skimp and get the cheap stuff, you will not get a good end result!)
1 5oz can evaporated milk

In a saucepan on low heat warm 4 Tbsp. evaporated milk. Cut Caramel into chunks and add to milk. Slowely melt down. Add another 2 to 4 Tbsp. evaporated milk to your desired texture. Pour out on to a greased or wax paper lined cookie sheet. Allow to cool. Cut into chunks and wrap in wax paper liners.

Spice it up:
Crushed Peppermint Candy Cane (Stir in just before pouring on to cookie sheet)
Chocolate (melt chocolate and dip caramels in chocolate and cool before wrapping them)
Nutmeg & Cinnamon (sprinkle a little in as the caramel is melting for a warm, holiday flavor)
